Dab Press Board Cutter

Heavy-Duty Dual Pillar Compressing & Stacking Press for Corrugated Sheets and Stationery Binding

Anti-Warp Leveling Dual Guide Pillars High-Tensile Thread Spindle

Dab Press Board Cutter

The Golden Brand Dab Press (widely known across industrial lines as a Hard Press or Screw Press) is an essential machine built to deliver intense, uniform surface compression across stacked flat sheets. Whether bonding multi-ply corrugated cardboard sheets post-pasting or flattening thick commercial registers and books during binding, this machine eliminates air gaps and uneven setting zones. Built with heavy cast frames and machined structural steel plates, it ensures absolute structural flatness under massive downward force parameters.

Key Features

  • Machined dual-pillar column layouts guarantee parallel platen travel
  • Heavy-gauge cast iron and mild steel plates prevent deflection under peak stress
  • High-tensile square or Acme threaded spindle ensures effortless mechanical mechanical torque transfer
  • Smooth finish flat platens prevent surface indentation or damage to delicate face liners
  • Large daylight adjustment ranges accommodate short runs or massive bulk production stacks
  • Multipurpose utility serves both packaging converting lines and commercial print binderies

How It Works

  1. Freshly pasted sheets or newly glued books are stacked vertically on the lower base platen.
  2. The batch stack is visually centered under the top compression plate assembly.
  3. The operator rotates the heavy hand-wheel, advancing the central screw downwards.
  4. The platen seals against the stack, forcing out air pockets and compressing adhesive lines until perfectly cured.

Applications

Post-Pasting Sheet Stacking & Leveling
Notebook & Ledger Spine Binding Press
Multi-Ply Cardboard Lamination Setting
Thick Kraft Board Hard Pressing

Frequently Asked Questions

Important maintenance and operational milestones for the Dab Press and Hard Press Assemblies

What is the primary function of a Dab Press in a corrugated box plant?

After corrugated liner sheets pass through a sheet pasting machine, they are closely stacked inside the Dab Press. The machine applies high, continuous downward compression across the surface area to ensure the adhesive spreads uniformly, removes trapped air pockets, and prevents the boards from warping while drying.

Is this machine also utilized outside the corrugated packaging sector?

Yes, it is highly sought after in commercial printing and stationery manufacturing. It serves as a standard industry tool for compression binding of heavy notebooks, registers, ledgers, and hardbound diaries, ensuring flat structural consistency and flush glued spines.

How is the compression pressure generated and controlled?

Our manual variants are engineered with a high-tensile central threaded spindle driven by a balanced hand-wheel or T-bar handle. For high-volume manufacturing environments, we also fabricate fully integrated hydraulic pump models to deliver automated high-pressure cycles.

What prevents the press platens from tilting under asymmetrical structural loads?

The machine is constructed with thick, machined dual-side guide pillars. The floating upper platen moves through precision-bored guide tracks to ensure perfectly flat, parallel downward travel even if the material stack is slightly off-center.

What standard bed dimensions are available for this equipment?

We offer three standard industrial sizes optimized for common box plant and printing layouts: 15\" × 20\", 18\" × 24\", and 20\" × 30\", with custom sizes fabricated upon request.
